We belong to the old school, where a Quarter Horse is bred to be a versatile horse. In an age where halter horses do not necessarily make ideal performance horses, and performance horses do not commonly make outstanding halter horses, we feel that the Wiescamp bloodlines do produce successful competitors in both areas.

When we purchased "RB Scooter Array" as a two-year old in 1995, close friends were at first very skeptical. Since "Scooter" is a 100% line-bred Wiescamp stallion, many people associated his pedigree only with the performance arena. However, we wanted a versatile horse, and Dale's 27 years of experience in the halter and performance areas, told us that we were making a wise choice.

A beautiful, correct, and agile animal, "Scooter" earned 86 AQHA Halter points with 56 Grands and 33 Reserves, and his Open Superior Halter by the age of three. Since then, he has also earned one AQHA Open Dally Heeling point. He has been shown successfully in local Jackpot and Rodeo Ropings because there are no AQHA shows offering roping in our area.

After the 2001 breeding season, we plan to have him roping again at the AQHA shows, and we intend to prove again the versatility of this family of horses by finishing his AQHA Championship.

Scooter" passes his exquisite head and correct conformation to his foals. During the 2000 show season alone, his foals won ten futurities in 5 different states. From only three breeding seasons, his foals are placing at the Congress, qualifying for the AQHA World show, and his oldest offspring are now beginning to ride and are exhibiting the talents under saddle that we expected. As in the past, we dedicate ourselves to making the all-around horse a reality. "Scooter's" ancestors have, over the years, produced horses which not only met the criteria for Halter conformation, but also the criteria that could, and did, win in the performance arena. And we at Tower Ridge Quarter Horses will continue to promote this truly versatile line of beautiful equine athletes.
