Mark
has been around horses since 1966.
His father raised horse’s
from 1966 until is death in 1999. Mark’s father, Frank Scripter, was the president of the
Sundance 500 International, one of
the original incorporators and 1st
president of the Foundation of
Appaloosa Horse Registry.
He ghost wrote the book
“The Story of the Ghost Wind
Stallions” and was a contributor
to “The Legacy of the Nez Perce
Spotted Horse”.

A lot of the Appaloosa’s
that Mark is familiar with trace
back to quarter horses, many of them
from Hank Wiescamp’s program.
Dee’s family has been
involved in horses since 1921, when
her grandfather started his ranch in
Illinois.
He raised quarter horses for
cutting and reining in the Skipper W
style.
Her uncles and cousins have
all been involved with the horses.
It’s in their blood.
Our
family acquired, our Stallion,
Special Love Affair, a beautiful
Wiescamp branded palomino, in 1999.
The Shoemaker – Skipper W
bloodlines have excellent
confirmation and color.
The more we learned about the
horses, the more we fell in love
with them.
Some of our stallion’s
background includes many famous
horses, such as Skipper W, Nick
Shoemaker, Skip Sir Bar, Skip’s
Style, Three Bars, Plaudit, Peter
McCue and Old Fred.
Our
goal is to still continue raising
good quarter horses, with
confirmation, as well as cutting and
reining style.
We are interested in
expanding our heard to include
Skipper W mares.
We choose our mares for their
confirmation and their excellent
cutting and reining bloodlines.
